Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and on Small Business Saturday, we’d like to invite you to see why.
On Saturday, November 29th, over 17 retail businesses will be open, many with extended hours, offering specials and personalized attention that you just don’t receive in the big city shops. With such a wide selection of merchants in one small town, you’ll be able to whittle down that shopping list in no time while finding something everyone on your list will love.
Over $2,000 in gift cards and Canadian Cash will be given out at local businesses and by the Chamber of Commerce on Small Business Saturday, November 29th.
This year we're also sponsoring a Passport contest which could win you up to $850!!! Pick up a passport booklet at any participating business, collect a stamp or signature from each business you visit between November 29th and December 12th, and turn in your passport at participating businesses or the Chamber to be entered into three different drawings. If you collect 5+ stamps you'll be entered into a drawing to win $100, 10+ stamps will enter you into a drawing to win $250, plus the $100 drawing, and 15+ stamps will get you a chance at $500, plus the other two drawings.
Make sure to snap a picture of yourself out shopping in Canadian on Small Business Saturday and post it to our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/canadiantx or tag your photo on any social media site with #ShopSmallShopCanadian for your chance to win a t-shirt or Canadian Cash!
We can't wait to see you out and about in Canadian on Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving!
Canadian Cash is a city-wide gift certificate program aimed at keeping gift dollars in our local economy. Make your holiday shopping easy by giving the gift of Canadian Cash, or bolster our local economy by giving a portion of employee bonuses in Canadian Cash.
The recipient can redeem Canadian Cash all over town just like real cash. Where they spend it is up to them!
Canadian Cash is available in $5 and $20 denominations. You may purchase Canadian Cash at the Canadian Visitors' Center, 119 North 2nd Street. We're open M-F, 9am-5pm.
Keep in mind, the list of participating businesses is growing every day. If your business is interested in accepting Canadian Cash, please give us a call at 806-323-6234.

Living In Canadian
Since its incorporation in 1908 and its founding long prior to that time, Canadian has always been a place of pride and purpose for its driven and determined citizens. In the 1985 Hemphill County History book, Tom Abraham noted, “…I know Canadian folks—they just don’t give up.” This speaks volumes about the people who have worked so hard over the past 130+ years to build this ever changing community that continues to thrive.
